I love love love udon noodles. They’re fluffy, soft, tasty and so ridiculously chewy. I also love matcha so when Tsurumaru introduced their new Matcha Green Tea Udon I had to get my hands on a bowl. Udon is actually pretty simple in regards to ingredients, made with only wheat flour, salt and water. It’s the cooking process and timing that makes Tsurumaru’s udon stand out.
The Green Tea Matcha Udon has the same great flavor of regular udon noodles but with high-grade matcha powder added to the mix. They also add fresh squeezed lemon juice and lemon zest and serve it cold. It’s deliciously chewy, tangy, tasty and super filling. There are many different kinds of authentic noodle bowls at Tsurumaru so I recommend going hungry and trying a few different ones.
